I teach private guitar lessons and general music classes for kids. With an emphasis on voice, guitar, piano and percussion, I often use multiple instruments to introduce beginners to basic musical concepts. I also teach a mommy-and-me style baby and toddler music class, where parents and children get to learn together through play and song. I have taught art and music to pre-school aged kids in schools and camps since graduating with a Fine Arts degree in 2008.  A self-taught musician, I perform vocals and play guitar in a local Philadelphia band. I enjoy writing my own music, and encourage children to experiment with songwriting as a learning tool. During lessons, I use play and creativity to convey fundamental musical concepts, such as rhythm, melody, and harmony. Ear training and intuition are at the core of my teaching style.
