Taught by one of our string teachers, Yeliza Aleman Gaetan, this 6 week workshop is a first step toward classical training for cello and violin. Starting April 2nd at 11 AM, this series of Saturday classes for 4-6 year olds will incorporate art, music, and string instruments. Your child will learn the basics of cello and learning music, including notes, technique, instrument handling, and other foundations. The 6 week workshop revolves around the Paper Orchestra. With a unique historical tradition, this approach is an affordable and creative way to introduce cello to very young children. Children will learn how to make a home-made cardboard cello or violin (crafted during the workshop), and will prepare to train on the real thing.
